Graduated Roof
Slates on a graduated roof are laid so that the thickest and longest are at the eves and gradually diminish in size and thickness until the ridges are reached. This roof used slate from 24" tall, 3/4" thick, diminishing to 12" tall and 3/16" thick in a combination of shades of Unfading Green with Vermont Grey to add subtle, yet eye-catching variation to the field.
